DAY OF REGISTRATION QUESTIONS
Where do I register for the race on race day?
Registration will close at 21,000. There will not be onsite registration, but you can still register at home or on your smart phone!)
Where do I register for the Kids Fun Run on race day?
You can register your child at the main registration area before 9:00 a.m. or at the Kids Fun Run area anytime after 9:00 a.m.
I have a registration problem (I wasn’t mailed a bib, they can’t find my registration, etc).
Go to the Solutions table located at Registration.
Will we be able to check our belongings?
Yes, we will have a sweat check available from 6:30am-noon. It will be located by the South entrance of the HP Pavilion at Santa Clara Street and Autumn Street.
TIMING CHIP
Do I need to attach my timing chip?
No, it is already attached to your bib. Kids Fun Run participants do not need a timing chip.
Do we need to return the timing chip?
No, but please place bib with chip in our composting bins. Thanks for helping us be green!
REGISTRATION QUESTIONS
Do you know if we can register as a group?
No, we do not have a group registration, but you can “add registrant” at the end each time the go through the process. Then just pay once for the group.
Can I switch from a 5K to a 10K or vice versa?
Show up thanksgiving morning and run whichever distance you prefer. You must start at the correct start time for the distance that you would like to run. For example, if you registered for the 5K, but want to do the 10K, you must start at 7:50am and line up with the 10K participants.
LOCATION QUESTIONS
Where does the race start?
On W. Santa Clara Street, near the Hwy 87 overpass. Please start by lining up at the correct starting time for your distance: 10K Wheelchair – 7:45am, 10K Run – 7:50am, 5K Run/Walk – 8:15am. Then line up according to your mile pace with faster runners closer to the start line and those with strollers at the end.
Where can spectators watch the race?
Spectators can watch from anywhere along the course.
ELITE AND PA/USATF ATHLETE QUESTIONS
Where is the Elite and PA/USATF race start and finish line?
Located on St. John Street between the Main Festival Area and the Fittest Firm Area
Where is the massage area for VIPs?
In the VIP tent located in the Main Festival Area

WHAT’S ALLOWED IN THE RACE
Are baby strollers allowed in the race?
Yes, but please line up towards the back of the pack. Please also let faster runners pass while you are on the course.
Can my dog run with me?
No, we do not allow dogs on our courses.
Are bikes, roller blades, scooters, skateboards or pets allowed on the course?
No.
Can I listen to headphones while participating?
In accordance with USATF rules, headphones are not allowed. Any participant using headphone will be subject to disqualification.
RACE RESULTS
Where and when will the race results be posted?
Results will be posted in the festival area between 10:30 and 11:30am. After the race, results will also be on our website at www.svturkeytrot.com.
VOLUNTEERS
Where is Volunteer Check In?
Volunteer check in is located in “Sharks Ally” at the corner of W. St. John Street and N. Montgomery Streets, under the stairs to the back entrance to the HP Pavilion.
How do I get my volunteer slip signed for school?
Please approach any person with a team-lead blue jacket in your area, who will be authorized to credit you with 5 volunteer hours.

What is the Can-Do Community Challenge?
The “Can-Do” Challenge asks race participants to bring Cans 4 Others:
Bring 4 canned food items to help us reach our goal of 15,000 pounds to be donated to The Second Harvest Food Bank.
Where do I drop off my canned good items?
At Packet Pick Up: There will be collection bins at Sports Basement and Los Gatos Runner’s Factory during packet pick up, so bring in 4 cans then so you don’t have to carry them on race day.
On Race Day: Donated canned food items can be dropped off at the Second Harvest Food Bank truck located on the corner of Autumn and Santa Clara Streets. Additional bins will be located in all of the HP Pavilion parking lots, including the parking lots across the street from the HP Pavilion as well as throughout the Kids Area.

When and where does the Kids Fun Run take place?
The Kids Fun Run starts 10:50 am at the start line and will be run on the path surrounding the Kids Festival Area. You can register your child at the main registration area before 9:00 a.m. or at the Kids Fun Run area anytime after 9:00 a.m.
How far is the Kids Fun Run?
Kids 2-3yr olds will be walking/running 30 yards; 4-5 yr olds will race 50 yards; 6-7 yr olds will be racing 200 yards, and 8-9 yr olds will be racing 275 yards.
RACE SHIRTS
When/where do we pick up our Turkey Trot long-sleeved race shirts?
At Packet Pick Up: For those who received their bib in the mail, you can pick up your shirt at any of the packet pick up days. You must have your bib with you to receive your shirt. For those picking up their bibs or registering at packet pick up, you can also pick up your shirts at packet pick up.
On Race Day: Turkey Trot t-shirts will be given out at the end of the race in the Festival area. Only the first 17,500 to register receive the commemorative long sleeve shirts. All others will receive the organic cotton generic shirts. (Race shirts are now available in women’s cut too!!)
MISCELLANEOUS
Where are the restrooms?
Restrooms are located on in the festival area near the tennis courts, In the Fittest Firm area, In the Kids Fun Area, Near the Finish Line and across the street from the main entrance to the HP Pavilion.
Where will we be able to see the official race day pictures?
Race day photos will be provided by Brightroom. A link to Brightroom is posted on our website at www.svturkeytrot.com.
I’ve lost someone (child, parent, friend) what do I do?
Go to the information booth located on the corner of Santa Clara and Autumn or one of the two stages located in the Main or Kids Festival sites.
Where are the nearest transit stops?
The nearest transit is at the San Jose Diridon station, which is served by buses, light-rail, Caltrain, ACE and Capitol Corridor. There will be a copy of light-rail and Caltrain schedules at the info booth.
Where are the nearest restaurants?
There are a lot of restaurant options in downtown San Jose.
What if I need medical help at the end of the race?
The medical tent will be located just passed the finish line on the left hand side of Santa Clara Street across for the intersection of Santa Clara Street and Dulmess.
Will there be medical help on the racecourse?
There will be medical staff out on the course patrolling the course for runner in need. We will have 6 EMT’s on ATV’s and Bike for your safety.
