The Perkins Coie CEO/Celebrity Challenge is an opportunity for leaders in our community
to energize their employees and lend a hand to the neediest in our Valley. Take the Challenge! Join us and run/walk with your CEO peers on Thanksgiving morning in downtown San Jose.
Last year, Applied Materials CEO Mike Splinter, Mercury News Publisher Mac Tully, Perkins Coie Managing Partner Ed Wes, Brocade CEO Mike Klayko, the Housing Trust Executive Director Kevin Zwick and Silicon Valley Leadership Group CEO Carl Guardino were joined by other valley CEOs and Celebrities, and this year promises an expanded group of our Valley’s business leaders.
Participating CEO’s can relax pre-or post-race in the Perkins Coie VIP Tent with their CEO colleagues, elected officials participating in the “Mayor’s Cup Challenge” and some of the finest elite athletes in the world who are competing in our “Elite Men 5K Invitational” and our Silicon Valley Bank “Elite Women 5K Invitational.” The VIP treatment includes free professional massage, great goody bags and refreshments.
To register, simply select the Perkins Coie “CEO/Celebrity 5K Challenge” category. You can sign up as a Gold Medalist, Silver Medalist or Bronze Medalist, with the proceeds you donate equally divided between our three recipient charities: Santa Clara County Children’s Health Initiative, Second Harvest Food Bank and the Housing Trust of Santa Clara County.
Men’s and women’s first place finishers in the following age groups will be awarded a trophy and a Sports Basement gift certificate; second and third place finishers will receive a custom engraved medal as well as a Sports Basement gift certificate:
- 49 years of age and under
- 50 years of age and over
