Plus it’s a great way to start the day and get ready for a lot of eating at Thanksgiving dinner.

How: Participate by registering, volunteering or donating to the event. If you are registering, remember there are many categories you may qualify for and would be fun for you to possibly win a certain category. Check out our timed and non-timed categories for more information. We are capping registration this year at 28,000 participants so register today!

The Splunk Expo FAQ

What if I'm not able to make it to bib pick-up or the race? Can I pick up my packet after the race?

Yes, there will be a post race pick-up day on December 8th at Sports Basement from 11:30 am – 2:30 pm.

Can I pick-up a bib and/or t-shirt for someone else?

Yes, you may pick up a friends bib and/or t-shirt on expo day.  All you need is their first and last name and their bib number.

Do the shirts come in women's and men's sizes?

Yes, click here to see the size chart for women and men’s shirts. Shirts are also available in youth sizes!

Why are you no longer mailing out bibs?

In years past, we found that a lot of bibs were lost in the mail and also this service cost more than $10,000. Not mailing them will us to avoid the bad customer experience of a lost bib and also allow us to donate more to our charities.

Can I register during the Expo?

Yes, however it is advised to register online ahead of time. You can start registering now!  This year the race will be capped at 28,000 participants.

Can I switch from the 5K to the 10K or vice versa?

Yes, show up race day morning and run whichever distance you prefer.  You must start at the correct start time for the distance that you would like to run.

7:50 am- 10K start time

8:30 am- 5K start time

Why should I pick my stuff up here instead of the day of the race even though it's strongly encouraged?

First, it helps you to avoid the hassle of doing it the morning of the race.  You simply show up, put your bib on and off you go to race.  No long line to wait in the morning for you!  Second, it means you can more easily donate your food donations without having to lug them around on race day – just bring them in during the pick-up.  Third, when you make purchases that day and show your race bib at check out, you get a 10% discount on your purchase and Sports Basement or Jerry’s Sport’s will match 10% to the race’s charities.  This helped raise over $20,000 for the charities in 2012. You also can check off some of your Christmas shopping list in early bird fashion!

Race Day Activities

There will be several vendors to check out on race day! So, after you’ve finished your race feel free to hang out at the IBM Festival Area to see what they have to offer.

*Looking for a way to gain exposure for you company? Why not become a vendor at the Applied Materials “Silicon Valley Turkey Trot!” E-mail Rachel Gerston to learn more about becoming a vendor.
