The Applied Materials “Silicon Valley Turkey Trot” honors U.S. military veterans and 
people currently serving in the military with the “U.S. Military & Veterans 5K & 10K Challenge.” It invites runners and walkers who have served in the armed forces to have a fun competition with each other. Branches of the service included in this category are: Army, Navy, Marine Corps, Air Force, Coast Guard and National Guard.
Men’s and women’s first place finishers in the following age groups will be awarded a trophy and a Sports Basement gift certificate, second and third place finishers will receive a custom engraved medal:
Men’s 5K or 10K race
- 25 years and under
- 26 to 40 years
- 41 and over
Women’s 5K or 10K race
- 25 years and under
- 26 to 40 years
- 41 and over
How do you participate? Register online, select the U.S. Military & Veteran’s 5K Challenge Category under the timed categories and encourage other U.S. military veterans and people currently serving in the military to come out to compete.
